Description

Stainless Steel Snap Band for Filter Bags

Engineered for high-performance filtration systems, our stainless steel snap bands offer exceptional durability, tight sealing, and precise compatibility with automated riveting and welding systems. Available in SUS301 and SUS316L grades, each coil is precision-slitted, bright-annealed, and optimized for smooth feeding and stable operation in modern filter bag production lines. Ideal for industries where quality, consistency, and corrosion resistance are non-negotiable.

 Material Grades & Performance

We provide two high-grade stainless steel options tailored for industrial filtration environments:

🔹 SUS301 (Equivalent to EN 1.4310)

  • Cr: 16.0–18.0%
  • Ni: 6.0–8.0%
  • High hardness and springback elasticity
  • Good formability and cost-effective for general conditions
  • Surface: Bright-annealed to enhance corrosion resistance

🔹 SUS316L

  • Cr: 16.0–18.0%
  • Ni: 10.0–14.0%
  • Mo: 2.0–3.0%
  • Excellent resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and stress cracking
  • Ideal for flue gas desulfurization (FGD), waste incineration, and aggressive atmospheres

 For Fiberglass Filter Bags

Snap bands used with fiberglass filter media require a polished, bright-annealed surface. Our bands reduce abrasion and tearing, ensuring longevity and performance in high-temperature, high-humidity environments.

 Key Features

Feature Description
Durability High strength and corrosion resistance for long service life
Tight Sealing Maintains firm contact with the filter bag tube sheet
Precision Fit Stable performance under pulsing and vibration
Size Flexibility Multiple width/thickness options with edge customization
Smooth Surface Ideal for delicate or laminated filter media
Automation-Ready Compatible with high-speed riveting and welding equipment

⚠️ Automation Compatibility Matters

Most steel band suppliers overlook a critical factor: flatness and consistency across the roll.

Even minor deviations such as:

  • ⚠️ Wave distortion or edge curling
  • ⚠️ Thickness variation
  • ⚠️ Burrs or slitting defects
    can result in:

⚠️ Misaligned feeding or jammed rollers
⚠️ Welding or riveting failures
⚠️ Mold seizure or tooling breakdowns
⚠️ Increased downtime and maintenance cost

A snap band may seem insignificant, but poor strip quality can halt an entire production line or compromise bag sealing during pulse-jet cleaning.

We maintain tight tolerances on material flatness, edge finish, and mechanical properties to ensure compatibility with automated production lines.

 Snap Band Selection Tips

  1. Corrosion Exposure: Use SUS316L in acid/alkaline or chloride-rich conditions
  2. Machine Type: Confirm compatibility with your riveting/welding automation
  3. Bag Size Fit: Match snap band width/thickness to bag diameter and groove depth
  4. Media Type: Choose bright-annealed finish for laminated or fiberglass bags
  5. Reliability: Select vendors who understand automation—not just metallurgy
